London, UK – 20 January 2022 – Samsung Electronics UK Ltd has announced the launch of The Freestyle, a one-of-a-kind small and compact projector that’s powerfully packed and cleverly designed to improvise a screen, anywhere you go[4].
The Freestyle is a projector, smart speaker, and ambient lighting device that’s lightweight (weighing only 830 grams) and easy to carry to enjoy big screen moments on the move. From wall to ceiling, its flexible stand allows you to adjust the angle by up to 180-degrees in a few easy clicks – simply find the perfect viewing angle, point, and play. And you never have to compromise, because The Freestyle can project from 17” to 100”, for a truly versatile entertainment experience.
Connecting to The Freestyle is also incredibly easy, just connect your smartphone using the SmartThings app or AirPlay2 and mirror all your experiences, anytime and anywhere, without the need for cables. And when you’re too comfy to get up from the sofa, you can simply tap your Galaxy phone on The Freestyle to enjoy all the action straight off the ceiling[5].
When it’s not used as a projector to stream content, The Freestyle enables you to transform any space, into whatever you want it to be. Simply choose from over 20 backgrounds – or get creative and project your own art or photos – to create great ambiance within your home. It even acts as a smart speaker, with rich 360-degree sound with a 5-watt woofer, so you can use lights and music to have a party wherever you go. The Freestyle is the industry’s first portable projector that is certified by global major OTT partners, providing customers with the best content viewing experience available. It is also the first projector to include far-field voice control, allowing users to choose their favourite voice assistants when using the device hands-free up to 13ft away.
Since its debut at CES earlier this month there has been high interest in The Freestyle across the globe. The Freestyle is available to purchase (RRP: £999) via Samsung.com from the 16th February 2022.
